MCLEAN, Va., June 27, 2017 – VirPack, a leading provider of document management and imaging solutions, announced that it has released the latest version of its Document Management and Delivery System (DMDS). DMDS Version 3.6 provides enhanced security, with features such as two-factor authentication, increased system automation, and improved image processing. A refreshed user interface affords focused enhancements, such as a new online help system, that improve the user experience and increase operational effectiveness.

To provide additional authentication security, DMDS 3.6 includes a new two-factor authentication service that can be enabled for some or all users.
Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 Compatibility
In order to support current best practices of system security, all DMDS interfaces and desktop applications are updated to support Transport Layer Security (TLS) 1.2 encryption protocols.
New Online Help System
DMDS 3.6 is includes a new Online Help System accessible via a new “Help” link located directly within DMDS, providing permission based online access to the DMDS user manual and administrative manual.
Automated Index Queue Cleanup
New system level configuration options are available to enable a daily automated index queue cleanup of abandoned aged jobs in an indexing queue.
Queue Admin Alert
A new, two-tiered configurable warning feature is available to provide greater transparency into pending jobs within a queue by alerting customers when the jobs within a queue reach a customer-defined warning and critical level.
Improved Processing for Photo Captured Images
Improvements have been made to the input workflow processes to reduce the number of grayscale and color image documents that remain unindexed after moving through barcode recognition and/or ADI processes.
New Content Indicator Auto-Expiration Configuration
A new pool level configuration setting is available to allow customers the ability to configure how long (up to 365 days) the “New Content Indicator” will appear in DMDS before automatically expiring.
Unarchive VirPack Feature
The “Unarchive VirPack” feature is available to DMDS administrative users to restore a previously archived VirPack file to standard file status.
